Position Description: The Operations and Recruitment Specialist works under the general direction of the Director of Admissions for Adult & Graduate Studies. The ORS will provide support to the processes of student recruitment, file completion and review and other duties as assigned. Recruitment efforts include graduate, adult and could involve some outreach on behalf of MBCW. This position is instrumental in the recruitment of adult and graduate students, as well as the various goals and the daily operations. The successful candidate will possess strong computer and analytical skills, as well as have strong interpersonal skills and be a proponent of a customer service admissions model.
Job Functions: Professional, welcome and first point of contact to prospective students by phone, email, and in person for adult and graduate programs. Student recruitment. Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of the communication plan to prospective students. Assists with development and implementation of cohesive and efficient processes for applicants to the adult and graduate programs. Will assist in coordination and management of incoming and outbound calls from and to inquiries and applicants for adult and graduate programs. Assists in working with and answering questions from advisors and others in regional offices pertaining to inquiries, applicants and application status. Assist with mailings and packets, and communication flow for adult and graduate programs. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Some weekend and evening hours will be required. Valid Virginia driver’s license. Travel may be a part of this position. Experience with Radius desirable.
